Information summary: 1. Direct coating method: The adhesive is directly coated onto the pre-treated base fabric using a scraper, then put into a plasticizing box for gelation and plasticization, and then goes through embossing and cooling processes to obtain the finished product. This method can be used to produce various fabric-based artificial leathers, including coated artificial leather and foamed artificial leather.

  1. Direct Coating Method

The adhesive is directly coated onto the pre-treated base fabric using a spatula, then gelled and plasticized in a plasticizing box, followed by embossing and cooling processes to obtain the finished product. This method can be used to produce various fabric-based artificial leathers, including ordinary artificial leather, film-coated artificial leather, and foamed artificial leather.

  2. Transfer Coating Method

Also known as the indirect coating method. The adhesive is coated onto a carrier (release paper or stainless steel belt) using a reverse roller or spatula. After gelation, the base fabric is laminated onto the gelled layer without tension, followed by plasticization, cooling, and peeling from the carrier. Then, post-processing is performed to obtain the finished product. This method is suitable for producing knitted or non-woven fabric-based foam artificial leather and ordinary artificial leather.

  3. Calendering Lamination Method

According to the formula requirements, resin, plasticizer, and other compounding agents are weighed and mixed in a kneader, then plasticized in a mill and an open mill or extruder, and sent to a three-roll or four-roll calender (see plastic machinery) to calender the film to the required thickness and width, and laminated with the preheated base fabric. Then, embossing and cooling are performed to obtain the finished product. This method can be used to produce various artificial leathers with different fabric bases. To improve the bonding effect between the base fabric and the film, an adhesive is often applied to the base fabric first.

  4. Extrusion Lamination Method

The resin, plasticizer, and other compounding agents are mixed evenly in a kneader, plasticized, and extruded into a film layer of a certain thickness and width by an extruder. Then, it is laminated with a preheated base fabric on a three-roll forming machine, followed by preheating, film lamination, embossing, and cooling to obtain the finished product. This method is used to manufacture thicker products, such as floor coverings and conveyor belts.
